Mark W. Geisler

Mark Geisler has been associated with Hoffinger Stern & Ross LLP since 2004, and with prior configurations of the firm from 1985-1998. While his practice focuses on civil litigation, including commercial disputes and product liability defense, he has also been involved in criminal defense matters.

At Hoffinger Stern & Ross, his product liability defense practice has included conducting fact and expert depositions throughout the country with respect to dietary supplements.

Over his career, he has appeared in State Supreme Courts throughout the five boroughs of New York City, Nassau County, Rockland County, and Orange County, the Appellate Divisions in the First and Second Departments, federal courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and for the District of New Jersey, and criminal courts in New York City and Long Island. He has also represented clients in mediation proceedings in this country as well as Canada.

Education

Mr. Geisler was graduated from New York University School of Law in 1982, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board (1980-1981).

Prior to law school, he was graduated magna cum laude from Fairfield University (1979), where he also received the Passarelli-Guinta Award for Excellence in the Study of Political Science.

Prior Experience

From 1982 - 1985, Mr. Geisler was a confidential law assistant for the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court, Second Judicial Department, analyzing a wide range of civil and criminal appeals and motions.

Thereafter, from 1985-1998, he was associated with Hoffinger Friedland Dobrish Bernfeld & Hasen and successive iterations of the firm, through Hoffinger Friedland Dobrish Bernfeld & Stern, P.C. While there, his practice involved civil and criminal litigation, business law, corporate law, family law, and health law matters.

In 1998 he became associated with Skolnick Hochberg & Bernfeld, P.C. (later, Skolnick & Hochberg, P.C.) where his practice entailed civil litigation and business, commercial and corporate law matters, real estate, health law and general practice.

Bar Admissions

Mr. Geisler is admitted to the Bar in New York State (1983) and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York (1984). He is a member of the New York State Bar Association.

Mr. Geisler is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Hendrick Hudson Free Library in Montrose, New York, where he currently serves as an officer.
